Can anybody learn how to dance?
Of course! Here at Fred Astaire Dance Studio, we have been teaching people just like
you to dance for over 65 years. Our trademark curriculum and world class instructors are
guaranteed to get you dancing and having fun within a few short lessons.
How long will it take to be a good dancer?
The frequency and consistency of your lessons, how often you practice, and your natural
ability are some factors that determine how long it may take you to be a good dancer. We
can make a much better assessment after your first lesson.
Do I need a partner?
No. If you don't have a partner, your instructor will be your partner! Male students are
paired with female instructors and female students are paired with a male instructors.
What is the age range of your students?
Ballroom dancing is enjoyed by people of all ages, from those in their 20's to those who
are enjoying their golden years.
What should I wear for my lessons?
There is no strict dress code for ballroom dancing. Some dress casually, others come in
their work clothes. Just avoid restrictive clothing (such as a long tight skirt) and shoes
that may slip off while moving (such as mules and flip flops).
When can I take lessons?
Our studio is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1pm to 5pm and then 6pm-
10pm. We're open Monday and Thursday from 6pm until 10pm (Reason: The instructors
have dance clinics in the afternoon.) Other times can be arranged on an appointment
basis, ask your instructor for details.
Is Parking available nearby?
Yes. There is usually plenty of parking available on the street, and there is a parking lot
